Apartment / house are very often the symbols of the ego, and it's current state of consciousness.

The 'older couple' : could be parents, relatives, your own current relationship, or, on a more symbolic level a relationship to life that is getting obsolete.

Fire : The need for renewal, change, a new attitude towards life.

Things thrown out of the window : a contradictory gesture, saving important things from the fire but also getting rid of them.
May mean that the need for change is not totally accepted consciously and that you are torn between change and status quo. Indeed change comes at a price and you may have to sacrifice 'things' that are precious to you. This is why change is symbolized by fire a destructive item.

No escape : You can't avoid that reassement of your life. This fact is also outlined by '911'. 9= 3x3 --> The number '3' is the symbol of synthesis : finding a solution to a problem. The problem itself is quite often symbolized by '2' (the older couple). '11' like all prime numbers is attached to hard to solve psychological problems.

I often have dreams of floods rising outside my house or rushing through some place I'm staying. I wonder if fire could be a similar symbol. Mine seem to come when I feel out of control in my life.
